Cake Spotlight: Blueberry Provence
Heading into the middle of the Winter, our Blueberry Provence piece cake is the perfect treat to indulge in, while sipping a hot cup of tea or coffee! Our Blueberry Provence is one of our latest additions to our piece cake range and incorporates a sweet and tangy blueberry compote encased in a fragrant lavender infused white chocolate mousse, topped with cream, small lavender jelly cubes and earl grey blue flowers. Decorated in a lavender colour glaze, this cake touches on a cooler tone heading into the cooler season.
Take a look at some photos of our Blueberry Provence being made in our bakery! All our cakes and macarons are handmade by our highly skilled and qualified chefs. The blueberry compote is made first and surrounded by lavender infused white chocolate mousse. The mousse is left to set before taking them of the moulds for glazing as shown in the image below! The glaze is carefully made to ensure the perfect consistency for a smooth finish. After this step, the cakes are left to set before adding the final touches including piping cream, adding lavender jelly cubes and earl grey blue flowers.
